A “Ball” is a cultural phenomenon created by the LGBTQ+ community that is a mix of a club-like atmosphere with a voguing dance competition and beauty pageant all mixed into one dynamic event.

The Ball culture, mainly comprised of Black and Brown LGBTQ+ is a celebration of expression and inclusion and has been the foundation of mainstream fashion for decades, influencing modern Emmy Award-winning smash TV shows like RuPaul's Drag Race and Pose. Ballroom has an energy that is futuristic and its power lies in the ability to evolve while still maintaining its roots.

Through expression and inclusion, we choose to move the needle forward in the equal rights movement. The Equality Ball is the stage for us to have a voice in the protection of LGBTQIA+ rights… and by extension, all of our rights.
We are all equally valuable human beings. We are enough, just as we are. Ball culture is the place to be who you are without judgment. You are only judged on your unique expression of your existence.
This safe space is where artistry and LGBTQIA+ culture, supported by the allyship of the Las Vegas community, intersect.

Together with BeyGOOD, The Palms, The Human Rights Campaign, and Aids Healthcare Foundation, Equality Ball raises LGBTQ+ visibility, activates voters' participation, and increases HIV testing, awareness, and prevention measures in communities of color.
